Mabul Water Bungalows is a floating dive-resort, conveniently located nearby at Mabul Island. It is just 15 minutes speedboat ride away from the world famous dive sites of Sipadan Island.
This beautiful resort only has 16 bungalows, 5 Borneo Villa Suite, 1 Bougain Villa Suite and 1 Royale Villa Suite. Of the 16 bungalows, 12 are with double beds while the other 4 are with twin beds. These exclusive wooden type bungalows are built over the water and stand on stilts allowing you to enjoy the cool breeze and beautiful views.
Your Sipadan Permit Allocation
This resort is alloted 12 permits each day, shared with her sister resort Sipadan Mabul Resort. Based on this allocation, you can visit Sipadan Island once with certainty if you stay a minimum of 6 days 5 nights.
If your stay is shorter than 6 nights, then the permits are allocated based on unused permits that have not been assigned to others.
Facilities
Mabul Water Bungalows offers Wireless Internet access at the restaurant and rooms so you can email your family what a wonderful time you’re having straight from the middle of the ocean – that is if you have time after a day of Scuba diving, fishing, table tennis, beach volleyball, ocean kayaking and spa treatments. There is also wireless Internet access available at the dining area. The resort offers all these activities as well as a large open-air restaurant for dining, a lounge where you can meet your fellow divers, and a dive centre where you can take Scuba lessons.
If you don’t have diving skills yet, don’t worry as Mabul Water Bungalows offers a range of Scuba courses from PADI Open Water up to Divemaster. Absolute beginners can try a Discover Scuba Diving course to get a taste of diving and see if it’s for them. Also available are refresher courses for those who haven’t gone diving in a while. For the experienced diver, Mabul Water Bungalows offers technical diving courses and courses in Nitrox diving. Classes are facilitated by the resort’s swimming pool, which is 41 feet by 21 feet and reaches a depth of 6 feet.
The tired diver can find comfort at the resort’s Mabul Spa which offers a variety of massages, foot baths, and facial scrubs. Divers can also relax in the resort’s whirlpool Jacuzzi which comfortably sits 4 to 6 people. Guests at the Mabul Water Bungalows will surely never be bored with the wide range of activities and dive sites available. Besides Mabul Island and Sipadan, the resort also covers the dive sites of Kapalai Island, Roach Reef, Mataking Island, and Ligitan Island.
