Lankayan Island Dive Resort is located on Lankayan Island, East Coast of Sabah, Malaysian Borneo and the nearest airport is Sandakan Airport.
Arrival
Find your way to Sandakan Airport and the resort coordinator will pick you up at the airport. Plan to arrive by 9 a.m. or earlier, otherwise you will need to spend a night in Sandakan and only transfer to the island the next day.
Boat transfers between Sandakan and Lankayan Island are available daily.
Arrive Sandakan Airport
Main flight routes to Sandakan Airport includes from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI-SDK) and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL-SDK).
There are aslo flights from Tawau to Sandakan (TWU-SDK), if you plan on visiting Tawau before going to Sandakan.
From here, a resort coordinator will meet you at the airport arrival hall.
Land Transfer to Sandakan PSR Jetty
Transfer from airport to Sandakan PSR Jetty, located near Sandakan Post Office, which is 20 minutes away.
Boat Transfer to Lankayan Island
The boat transfer will leave the jetty at 10 a.m. The journey will take 105 to 120 minutes to arrive at the island.
There is one scheduled boat transfer daily between PSR Private Jetty and Lankayan Island.

However, if you want to catch the 10 a.m. Orangutan feeding time at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre before going to the airport, plan to take the 2 p.m. flight or later out of Sandakan. The Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre entrance fee is paid separately.

The boat transfer will leave the island at 7 a.m. and will take 105 - 120 minutes to arrive Sandakan PSR Jetty.
Land Transfer to Sandakan Airport
Transfer from Sandakan PSR Jetty to Sandakan Airport. The journey will take about 20 minutes.
