Getting to The Buwan Dive Resort
The Buwan Dive Resort is located in Tampi-Tampi on the mainland coast of Sabah, approximately 80 to 90 minutes by road from Tawau Airport. Unlike most dive resorts in the Semporna area, no boat transfer is required to reach the resort — guests arrive directly by road. Dive boats depart from the resort's own jetty each morning.
Arrival
Fly into Tawau Airport (TWU). The resort coordinates land transfers from the airport to Tampi-Tampi. Plan your arrival to allow time to check in before the following morning's boat dives.
Arrive Tawau Airport Main flight routes to Tawau Airport (TWU) are from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL-TWU) and Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI-TWU). There are also flights from Sandakan (SDK-TWU) for guests combining a visit to the Sepilok orangutan sanctuary before heading to Semporna.
The resort coordinator will meet you in the arrival hall and arrange your transfer.
Road Transfer to The Buwan Dive Resort, Tampi-Tampi The journey from Tawau Airport to the resort takes approximately 80 to 90 minutes by road. The resort is on the mainland — there is no additional boat crossing to reach it.

Allow at least 90 minutes between leaving the resort and your scheduled flight departure from Tawau. Coordinate your departure transfer with the resort on the evening before check-out.
